Dr. Prasad maintains a General Surgery Practice at JCMG and serves as Medical Director of the JCMG Laser & Vein Center. He has hospital privileges at both St. Mary's and Capital Region Medical Center. Dr. Prasad provides surgery and post-operative care; he specializes in varicose vein care, laser therapy and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Prasad is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Louis University from 1991-1996 and attended Medical School at Washington University from 1987-1991.

Dr. Petersen has a General Surgery Practice at JCMG and provides vein care at the JCMG Laser & Vein Center. She has hospital privileges at both St. Mary's and Capital Region Medical Center. She serves on the 2007-2010 Missouri Board of Health. Dr. Petersen is certified by the American Board of Surgery. She completed her General Surgery Residency at the University of Nebraska from 2001-2006 and attended Medical School at the St. Louis University School of Medicine from 1997-2001.

Kim came to the Laser & Vein Center with over 13 years of experience working in the field of Dermatology both in a medical office and an aesthetic center. She has extensive experience in all aspects of aesthetic care. Since joining our staff Kim has undergone additional training on all equipment utilized at the JCMG Laser and Vein Center. Kim is a member of the National Dermatology Nurses Association and the National Rosacea Society. She is passionate about providing her clients with the education and treatment options to achieve their aesthetic goals.

Diane received her nursing education at State Care Community College. She previously worked in a nursing home setting as both an LPN and the RN. Diane works with our physicians to provide our patients with state of the art care for all their venous needs. She also assists with scheduling tests and all insurance precertification. She looks forward to being the go-to person for all our vein patients.

Laura has seven years experience working in the medical field. She has worked with the JCMG Laser & Vein Center since it opened. She began as Receptionist but was quickly promoted to the position of Front Office Coordinator. She as been instrumental in getting the front office up and running, and is the go-to person for all financial questions. She is a valuable asset to the JCMG team.

Barb's professional experience includes her work as a Level III Staff Nurse and Nurse Trainer with St. Louis University Hospital's Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. She has also held volunteer leadership roles with many community organizations, including the Cole County Medical Alliance. Barb received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University in 1990. Barb's goal is to ensure that everyone who visits the JCMG Laser & Vein Center will leave feeling that they have received quality customer education and service in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.
